Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (AWSHPP)
Previously known as Oil and Petrochemical Safety Orientation Course (OPSOC). This course is mandatory to all personnel who are working in the Oil and Petrochemical plants (in particular, Jurong Island) in Singapore.
Course Objective
Participants will learn the following
- Identify the roles and responsibilities of an employee under the WSH act
- Identify and prevent fire and explosion hazards at the workplace
- Comply with safe work practices and control measures for material handling
- Comply with safe work practices and control measures for mechanical and electrical works
- Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working on Specialised Operations
- Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working at heights
- Comply with safe work practices and control measures when working in a confined space
